Cosmetics and rouge were made in his shop and eventually he developed the transparent soup the carries his name today. Card Info: It was not until the 1867 Paris exhibition that the English tile Manufacturers, who were reproducing enormous quantities of tiles for the domestic market with the aid of mass production techniques, thought of reviving the art of hand-painted ceramic murals. Taking the fifteenth-century ceramic work of Della Robbia in Florentine hospitals as precedent. Doulton executed extensive panel schemes in several London hospitals and elsewhere in the country, and some were exported. Little Bo-Peep is one of a series of nursery rhyme panels which decorated the Lillian ward at St Thomas' Hospital in Lambeth.

Card Info: The 46,000-ton liner "Olympic", sister ship of the "Titanic", was built by Harland & Wolff at Belfast, and made her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York in 1911. She remained in service until 21935 and, while being used as a troopship during WW1, she rammed and sank the German submarine U-130. The LMS Locomotive was a "Royal Scot" Class 4-6-0, one of 50 built at Glasgow in 1927.

Introducing......

Well I have discovered the POSTCARDS!!! Im madly in love with them and the whole postcrossing thing. I have started my own collection of postcards and signed up for postcrossing today! I have my fist 2 addresses to send to and will write them out tonight! I have one to go to China and one to go to the states!
